4th Period Teacher Change

Kassi Hawkins will be taking over Mr. Rix’s 4^th period class for the second semester. She will be their teacher; responsible for planning, grading, and attendance.

The class will still be in room b-7 and they will continue to have the same texts, workbooks and novels.

Class will be continuing with The Samurai’s Tale reading, writing and vocabulary as well as with Grammar chapter 2 to start the semester.

Grades will continue to be updated and available on AERIES. Students will still be required to have and maintain Binder Reminders/Agenda daily. SSR books are necessary every day along with other materials.

Ms. Hawkins will be using a website much like Mr. Rix’s at thehawkclass.blogspot.com. Her email is khawkins@chicousd.org.

Dear Parents;

As many of you may already know, I am student teacher currently placed in your child’s English classroom at Marsh Junior High School. Working with your child these past four months has been a rewarding and enriching experience and I have learned much from the students as well as from Mr. Rix

For the remainder of the semester I will be in the “solo-teaching” phase of my credential work and will therefore be planning the lessons and grading your child’s work.
